Welcome to Eastbourne Downs.
I recognise the tremendous honour I have been given to lead the club this year. I feel very privileged indeed and hope to do my best to make this the greatest golf club in Eastbourne, with the best presented course.
Our course layout, we believe, is the best in the area. It is the only par 72 course in Eastbourne and it has provided a thoroughly enjoyable test for players of all abilities since 1908, the year EDGC was founded.
Our members feel...
The Ladies section at Eastbourne Downs prides itself on its friendliness and operates a ‘buddy’ scheme to ensure that new members are made to feel welcome and to help them integrate into the club.
As a section we enter County Competitions and other national Competitions such as those organised by the Mail on Sunday and Daily Mail. We also have a programme of friendly and competitive matches with other local clubs. Please visit us, to see all we have to offer.
Welcome to the Seniors’ Section at Eastbourne Downs. It is the friendliest, most active, most full-of-fun section anywhere. It is open for men aged 55 and over and we can promise players of all abilities, from beginners to those with single-figure handicaps, a lively group of fellow travellers to spend some of your leisure time with and enjoy your sport you love.
Our professional management team are responsible for the day to day running and management of our Club on behalf of the members and the Management Board. They are always available and willing to help you to provide you with the best experience as either a member or visitor. If you have any questions about playing golf, joining or using our club, hosting your event either as a visitor or member of Eastbourne Downs please contact us.
Our Management Board are responsible for the day to day running of our Club. The Board is comprised entirely by elected volunteers. The board includes the Club President, two Trustees, four Directors and the Club Treasurer.
Supporting the Board we have a number of committees across the Club that get involved in the real work of running our Club. Again usually consituted from volunteers.
