Sussex Amateur Course Closure

Eastbourne Downs is hosting the Sussex Amateur on the 13th and 14th of June. Whilst this is a prestigious event the course will be closed to members and visitors during certain times on the competition days. The tees for all competition days have been reserved from:
- 7:30 am to 9:30am
- 12:30 pm to 14:30pm
New date for Spring Cup

Following last weeks abrupt halt to the Spring Cup, the competition has been re-scheduled for Sunday 4th May.The original starting schedule has been retained. Competitors should note to update the posted start sheet rather than make adjustments on the computer. Fingers crossed the snow stays away this time!
Centenary Quiz Night

Friday 25 April 2008 we're organising a quiz night to help kick off our centenary season. Start time is from 7pm. Food is/is not available with entry made on the night.
Summer Match Play

Entry lists to this summers matchplay competitions have now been placed in the Mens changing room. Anyone wishing to enter must register by 27 April 2008 and have paid their entry fee. St Cyprians - Single Matchplay handicap limit 13- £3.50 fee. Morrisons - Singles matchplay above 13 handicap to max 28 - £3.50 fee. Evils Challenge - Foursomes matchplay.
Spring Cup White Out

Well they can't say they didn't warn us but I think most were surprised by the extent of the snow fall this Sunday. At around 10:20am the started to fall and pretty much wiped out most greens and fairways in just a few minutes. Competitors in this years Spring Cup had no choice but to walk in with an inch of snow soon settling on the greens.
